Building a Stronger West St. Paul Through Community Engagement

West St. Paul is a community rich in history and diversity, where residents and local organizations work collaboratively to create a vibrant and connected environment. Engaging with these groups and participating in community events not only strengthens our bonds but also enhances the quality of life for everyone.

Local Organizations Making a Difference

South Robert Street Business Association (SRSBA)

Established in 1922, the SRSBA is one of the oldest business organizations in Minnesota. It supports local businesses through fundraising, advocacy, and community events. Members benefit from networking opportunities and contribute to various youth organizations in the area, including the YMCA and local schools. Monthly meetings are held on the first Monday at Evolve Workspace, and membership is open to all small businesses in West St. Paul.

West Side Community Organization (WSCO)

Serving as the planning council for Saint Paul District 3, WSCO has been organizing residents for over 50 years to build collective power and advance justice and racial equity. Their initiatives include the West Side Tenant Union, urban planning projects like Destination Robert Street, and organizing for justice for displaced families from the West Side Flats. WSCO envisions a just, united, and self-reliant West Side where all people are connected, safe, healthy, and successful.
